Resumen

The values derived from the 'Blood Gas Calculator' for oxygen saturation of the venous blood of adults were significantly higher than the spectrophotocolorimetric values. No significant difference was found between the values of oxygen saturation in the capillary blood of adults and neonates. It is therefore possible to use either method for the capillary blood of children or adults.
